How to Remove Green Background from a Video or Image Using Adobe Premiere Pro?
Problem -
If you want to remove the green background from an image or if you have recorded a video using a green screen and now want to change the background, you can follow these steps.
Solution -
Step 1: Set Up the Project
a. Open Adobe Premiere Pro.
b. Create a new project or open your existing project.
c. Import Media Files – Import the green background video or image along with the background video or image you want to use.
In my example, the green background image appears as Neon Sage Rage.png, and I want Recording 1.mp4 as the background for that clip.
Step 2: Place the Green Background Video on the Timeline
a. Place the green background video on V2 track.
b. Place your background video or image on V1 track.
This is what I can see on my Program Monitor .
Step 3: Add Ultra Key Effect
a. Open the Effects Panel – If you have selected Windows → All Panels, you will see the Effects panel on the right side. Otherwise, go to Windows → Effects to enable it.
b. Search for the Ultra Key effect and drag it onto the green background video.
Step 4: Remove the Green Color
a. Select the image and open the Effect Controls Panel (it is located at the top left).
b. Go to Ultra Key Effect and select the Eyedropper Tool.
c. Click on the green color in your video.
d. As soon as you click, the green color will disappear, and your background will become visible.

Step 1: प्रोजेक्ट सेटअप करें
a. Adobe Premiere Pro खोलें।
b. नया प्रोजेक्ट बनाएं या अपना पहले से मौजूद प्रोजेक्ट खोलें।
c. मीडिया फाइल्स इम्पोर्ट करें – ग्रीन बैकग्राउंड वाला वीडियो या इमेज और वह बैकग्राउंड वीडियो या इमेज जिसे आप उपयोग करना चाहते हैं, उन्हें इम्पोर्ट करें।
मेरे उदाहरण में, ग्रीन बैकग्राउंड वाली इमेज Neon Sage Rage.png के रूप में दिख रही है, और मुझे उस क्लिप के बैकग्राउंड में Recording 1.mp4 का वीडियो चाहिए।
Step 2: ग्रीन बैकग्राउंड वाला वीडियो टाइमलाइन पर रखें
a. ग्रीन बैकग्राउंड वाले वीडियो को V2 ट्रैक पर रखें।
b. आपका बैकग्राउंड वीडियो या फोटो V1 ट्रैक पर रखें।

Step 3: Ultra Key Effect जोड़ें
a. Effects Panel खोलें – यदि आपने मेरी तरह Windows → All Panels सिलेक्ट किया है, तो आपको Effects पैनल दाईं ओर दिखेगा। अन्यथा, आपको Windows → Effects को सिलेक्ट करना होगा।
b. Ultra Key नाम का इफेक्ट खोजें और ग्रीन बैकग्राउंड वाले वीडियो पर ड्रैग करें।
Step 4: ग्रीन कलर हटाएं
a. इमेज चुनें और Effect Controls Panel खोलें (यह बाईं ओर ऊपर होता है)।
b. Ultra Key Effect पर जाएं और Eyedropper Tool चुनें।
c. अपने वीडियो में ग्रीन कलर पर क्लिक करें।
d. जैसे ही आप क्लिक करेंगे, ग्रीन कलर गायब हो जाएगा और आपका बैकग्राउंड दिखने लगेगा।
